We immediately stopped to see that a box from the rafter's fell down hitting the neon light thus knocking all 4 feet of it crashing toward Ben...awwww! Once the deadly dust settled we came back in and cleaned that poison up. haha God what a day! We order a 1000 cd's this weekend and their be in first of march. We had a exciting photo shoot for the cd layout few weeks back and that was well....you'll have to see to understand how fun it was. Lots of sucking face. We've been trying out drummer since Nate returned to the studio with Hit the Lights. If all goes well we will have made our decision who will be our new full time drummer end of the month. Once that's announced we'll also be announcing tour dates for the next coming months and YES it will be real "on the road" touring...we're taking it up a notch!
So a couple nights ago we met up with Troy and the the rest of the Rochester Insider crew. They are doing a piece called the "top 8 in '08". They selected 8 different categories of things they feel you should look out for in 2008 and chose us as the featured band. We did an interview and played them in a little game of 3-on-3 touch football while waiting to use the portrait studio for our photoshoot. I would have had an amazing 40-yard reception if it wasn't for Troy and his blatant pass interference. Oh wel...life goes i guess. We had a great time with them as usual and cannot wait for them to have us back once again. With that said (and out of the way..) look for us in January's issue of the Rochester Insider magazine and also in your hometown as we plan to hit the road hard. We are super excited to see what 2008 brings for us and we hope you share that feeling with us as well. We will see you all very soon. -christian

So in the last post by vinnie you heard his account of days 1-3 of recording,so now ill give you may account of the remaining days.

Day 4

So today was the big day Travis was on his way to the studio to start vocals from NY. Since we arrived here we've been doing alittle of this and alittle of that but now the songs we're really starting to come together. I think this was the final day I finished eating the "Crave case" Ben and I bought a few days back at white castle....I must say 30 burgers taste much better microwaved then fresh off the grill. weird! So Rob made fun of me for alittle while saying I wouldn't live past 30 the way I eat...haha we'll see buddy! I think I tracked some more Keys today too...It's so hard to remember cause this is all in past tense now so bare with me. Travis got to the studio around 6 and instantly began laying down vox and did an amazing job for his first session...props boy!

Day 5

Today we went to portrait studio's to hang out with our friends in crash romeo who were putting the finishing touchs on their new cd. We were lucky enough we got to do gang vocals on ALOT of tracks which was sick...Chris is such a nice guy and great producer! When this cd comes out go buy it people! support! We also made friends with the guys in Street Drum corps. who were awesome guys...go check em out if you get the chance. after that was done we drove back to the studio to lay down some more guitars and snyth.

Day 6

Halloween. Hahaha kinda didnt feel like it cause we were/have been inside all day every day recording..only time we see the sky is when we go out to grab coffee or a breakfest sandwich down the road on main street. Boonton is a great little town...everyone's so nice and really make you feel at home. Go to lakeside HOT BAGELS if you can amazing!! Today we (everyone but travis) drove to the mall in bridge water to visit our old friend Vinny from Roses are Red, who works at the apple store at the mall. Good times we're had, vinnie bought some sick new puma el rey shoes...actually their the only shoes i've ever seen him own.hahaha but he couldnt pass up a 60% discount...thanks lady! After the mall we went over to best buy and hung out with our bud Nikki safety from vampire for hire! good dude and a GREAT BAND! After we got back chris and Travis finished all their parts and had to take the long drive home. Vinnie,Ben and I finsihed everything else up on day 7

Day 7

Alittle keys left to do and a few guitar parts and we began a rough mix. Rob's been such a great producer! He really made this EP come alive. we owe him the world. so with a rough mix in hand we left pilot studios and began our trek home. There's so much more to tell you in between every day of what when on but we'll let the video journals show that stuff. thanks guys and stay tuned for 2 new songs to be posted soon- Thom and Museums

Day 1

So we arrived a little late on thursday. Along the way we stopped to pick up Nate Van Dam at Big Sky Audio in philly where Hit The Lights is writing and demo'g their new album. It's an amazing studio and all the HTL boyz were amazing. So after that we headed up to jersey to start recording with babyface freeman. We ended up grabbing a hotel and crashing the night where Christian decided to throw some moves on Nate during the night. After being thuroughly apalled, we eventually fell asleep.

Day 2

We all woke up around 6:30am and scratched ourselves before eating some thumbnail sized bagels and doughnut holes. After enjoying our continental breakfast we headed to Pilot Studio in Boonton, NJ to start tracking drums with Babyface Freeman. Nate killed it and tracked all six songs in amazing time. We are all sooooo thankfull that he could play on this record and hope to work with him some more in the future. After tracking drums came a whol bunch of drum editing. Extremely important, but boring. Lol. Ben, Thom and I headed to our buddy Steve's (Crash Romeo) house in Branchburg, NJ while Christian took Nate back to philly. Unfortunately they were stuck in traffic most of the day while Ben, Thom and I partied it up. We eventually made our way to see our boyz in Vampire For Hire play at Sparks in Bridgewater, NY. They were off the friggen hizzy!!!!! After officially being rocked, we proceeded to party like rapstarz.....lol. Sleeping was pretty much out of the question, and so was spooning with Ben. Damn.

Day 3

We woke up around 8 and headed to the studio after Ben "excersized his demons". The ride was rough and so was getting started thanks to 2 bottles of GREAT tequilla the night before. Ahaha. Babayface Freeman knocked our socks off by pushing us to track almost two complete songs!!! Were soo happy to be working with him. He has great ideas and is really pushing us to track some great stuff. We went out to eat for dinner at the Boonton Grill where our waitress proceeded to completely turn us off from wanting to eat our food. Lol. After finishing up some tracking we headed back to Steve's to pick up a few things before heading to our sweet hotel to shower, shave and spoon.

See you guys tomorrow!!!

Vin & the guys (museums)

So today is the 2nd day of rehearsals with nate vandame on drums...yesterday went really really well! Nates a trooper he knocked out 3 songs super fast and hard..so hard he broke a bass head and we had to take a drive to guitar center. Unfortunately vin is in VA working till saturday so he gets to miss out on the fun. But gotta make that money...recordings don't pay for themselves. So right now I'm on my way over to my parents to get ready for another practice...we only have a week to show nate these songs before he leaves and goes record with HTL. Maybe well take pictures of the guys riding big luke....who's big luke? Oh you'll seee lol. Well that's about it for now. Look for some pics of the practices in our photo section at our myspace page.

Post play-list

1-secret handshake-one year later
2-metro station-ep
3-sakes alive!-3 song demos
4-four year strong-rise or die trying
5-weatherbox-american art

Hopefully we can record these 6 songs in the 5 days we booked. Everything sounds so good.
So I finally figured I'd use this blog and actually start blogging....I hate that word sounds so lame. Whatever, so alots been going on in museums world these days. Tony officially played his last show a week or so back when we co-headlined with Just Surrender. It was nice for once for someone to leave from the band on GOOD terms...so used to people being shady and mean and just end up hating them in the end but Tony was cool...I respect him for his choice to go finish school. With that Joey has also parted ways with us to play full time with the buffalo band The Boy and His Machine...best of luck to him. So your probably saying " what r u guys gonna do no drummer and guitarist and you go into the studio in 3 weeks?" well we have another guitarist and he's learning the songs as we speak...an "officail" statement will be announced as to whom vary soon. As to who will be playing drums we're lucky enough that Nate VanDame of Hit the Lights (triple crown records) will be playing a few shows with us and then recording our EP with us too....yeah its gonna be sick. After that we will be trying out drummers who can tour...so if your reading this and can tour hit us up on myspace. Alot of BIG things are in the works so dont think of people leaving as a set back honestly it's a release and we couldn't be more happy about it all. I'm pretty pumped cause that means we can go and get new photos from our bud Jeff Marini....amazing!! I'll be taking pics from rehearsals for next couple weeks so get pumped...I love that word "pumped"..haha. Well the the office is on and I never miss a episode.thanks for the ongoing support guys. we love ya.-robot kiss's-xthomx

P.s. our friends in Farewell just released a new cd on epitaph so go to the store and buy it or ELSE!!

Post Play list:
1-Farewell: isn't this supposed to be fun?!
2-Deas Vail
3-Four Years Strong:Rise or die trying
4-The Early November:The rooms too cold
5-The Almost:Southern weathern
